For years, choosing a healthier paint often meant accepting compromises.
The colour range might have been limited. The finish wasn't always as refined. Coverage could be inconsistent, and durability didn't always match the premium paints people were used to.
So a perception developed that homeowners had to make a choice: beautiful paint or healthier paint. Fortunately, paint technology has come a long way.
What Does High-Quality Paint Really Mean?
Ask someone what makes a paint "high quality" and they'll probably mention things like:

Over the past few years, many of us have become much more conscious about the products we bring into our homes.
We read food labels. We pay more attention to skincare ingredients. We're becoming more thoughtful about the cleaning products we use.
Yet when it comes to paint, many of us still judge quality by one question:
"How well does it cover?"
I think quality means more than that. Let’s start asking some more questions…

· Is it something I'm happy to use in my children's bedrooms?
· How does it affect the air we breathe every day?
For me, those questions are just as important as colour, coverage and durability.
Why We Created Verus Paint
When we renovated our own home, we found ourselves asking exactly those questions.
